About this opportunity
The Cultural Officer - Audience Engagement, provides daily operation of Box Office at The Centre Beaudesert (Culture Centre) and focusses on audience engagement for Cultural Services. The position delivers customer focused service enquiries, sales, online ticketing, e:news, website updates, social media posts and promotional media for events at the centres.
The position is based in Beaudesert, but you may be required to work from any of Council’s offices (Boonah and Tamborine Mountain) or facilities within the Scenic Rim.

Additionally, you’ll also …
• Monitor and maintain online communication and ticketing platforms, and software associated with the e-marketing and ticketing of Cultural Services events and programs.
• Development of marketing materials, social media and digital signage promotions.
• Actively contribute to increasing event sales and improving brand awareness and promotion.
• Apply exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to connect and communicate effectively with the community, customers, and internal and external stakeholders.

About you…
• Must hold,



or eligible to obtain, a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) prior to commencing employment.
• Demonstrated experience in box office/front of house or similar role with focus on customer service and events and ticketing for an arts and culture program.
• Well-developed personal and interpersonal skills and an ability to connect effectively with a diverse range of customers, internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of computer software applications relevant to venue box office and events including ticketing system, digital/online communication platforms and venue booking software, or the ability to acquire the same.
