About the role
As a Health and Wellness Promoter, you will create opportunities for Southern Cross Care residents to participate in physical activity via individual and group exercise programs.
Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to;
- Help residents stay independent, healthy, and improve their quality of life.
- Use evidence-based methods like goal setting and strength training to support healthy ageing.
- Work with a team to create tailored exercise plans and step in early to prevent physical decline.
- Manage health and wellness programs across all homes and audit them to follow company procedures.

About you
We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- Certificate IV or higher in Fitness/Exercise Science and current industry accreditation (AUSActive, ESSA, etc.).
- Background in designing strength and exercise programs for older adults, including those with frailty or dementia.
- A clear understanding of how physical fitness helps older people stay independent and active.
- Great communication skills to support customer needs and work well with outside partners.
- Strong time management and comfortable using Google Suite and databases
