Akana Sushi is one of the outlets owned by GOHOZON PTY LTD, a company dedicated to providing top-quality Japanese food. Located in Kardinya Park Shopping Centre, Kardinya, the store offers fresh sushi, a range of Japanese dishes and a boba tea bar, serving dine-in, takeaway and delivery customers via UberEats and DoorDash.

We're now looking for a Store Manager to lead our team of 10 and oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the store.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day running of the outlet across the sushi counter, kitchen station and boba station, coordinating dine-in, takeaway and delivery service (UberEats, DoorDash) through peak lunch and dinner trade

- Manage stock control — set order levels for ingredients, packaging and consumables, place supplier orders, and monitor stock levels, deliveries and wastage

- Negotiate terms and manage relationships with suppliers

- Monitor sales performance, review pricing and margins, and plan promotions and delivery-platform offers to drive trade in quieter periods

- Lead front-of-house service, advise customers on menu items and made-to-order options, and resolve order errors, refunds and platform disputes

- train, roster and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff, and manage performance against service standards

- Oversee cash handling, EFTPOS and delivery-platform reconciliation, daily banking and operational records





- Prepare and monitor the store budget, tracking sales, labour cost and stock cost against targets

- Ensure the outlet meets food safety, hygiene and WHS obligations, and maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for staff and customers

Key Requirements

- At least 1.5–2 years' experience managing or supervising a food retail or hospitality outlet

- A relevant qualification at AQF Diploma level or higher in retail, business or hospitality management is highly regarded

- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, rostering and training

- Solid skills in stock control, purchasing and supplier management

- Proven ability to manage budgets, cash handling and sales reporting

- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements in a food retail environment

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends

About the Role:

- Full-time, permanent position

- 38 hours ordinary time per week

- Require to work on rotating roster including weekends

- Based at Akana Sushi, Kardinya Park Shopping Centre, Kardinya WA

- Leading a team of 10, reporting to the business owner

- $80-$81k depending on the level of experience, plus 12% superannuation guarantee
