Hobart Private Hospital is looking to employ a Food Services Assistant to join their busy department on a casual basis. You will work collaboratively in a agile team setting that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.

As a Food Services Assistant your responsibilities will include:

Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays.

Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly.

Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards.

Provide high standard of cleaning services within the kitchen.

Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures.

Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients.

Selection Criteria:





Current Food Processing Certificate Level 1 (working towards or willing to attain).

All current vaccinations per the health care industry requirements.

Current Rights to Work in Australia with unrestricted hours.

Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services.

Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a team.

Excellent time management skills as this is a busy key role within the Hospital.

Adaptable to work a variety of shifts - early/late shifts and weekend work with the ability also to work on call shifts.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Attention to detail.
