Job Description
We are seeking a trade qualified welder to join our team located in Hobart, Tasmania. This casual position involves repairs and maintenance of transport equipment and shipping line equipment, fabrication and some site work.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Carry out all instructions within set timeframes
Always work in a protected manner
Complete timesheets and relevant work sheets
Complete repairs and maintenance as directed
Report all damages, faulty equipment and/or accidents
Participate in OH&S; toolbox meetings
Sound knowledge of welding and workshop practices
Strong service orientation
Understand requirements for handling dangerous goods
Competent in MIG welding techniques
Competent in using oxy and acetylene equipment and hand and powered tools
Sound understanding of providing service to clients in third‑party contracted logistics
About You
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Team player
Willingness to learn
Welding certificates or undertaking of a welding course (preferred)
Car licence
