About the Team
The External Engagement and Partnerships Division focuses on building and strengthening relationships with industry, government, and the community. The Strategic Partnerships Delivery team supports a coordinated and strategic approach to supporting the delivery of complex and high-value partnerships across faculties, research centres, and central units.
Job Purpose
This role leads the strategic partnerships delivery function, overseeing the coordination and execution of complex and high-value partnerships from planning through to review. It ensures partnerships are delivered in line with institutional priorities, governance requirements, and consistent standards, and also drives improvement in internal university processes to support more effective external partnerships.
Detailed Description
Role Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of complex strategic partnerships from scoping through to review.
Develop and embed governance frameworks, processes, and delivery standards.
Translate partnership opportunities into operational delivery plans including resourcing, costing, and risk assessment.
Provide oversight of budgets, compliance, and delivery quality across partnerships.
Coordinate cross functional teams to support aligned and consistent delivery outcomes.
Oversee bid coordination and support the progression of closed opportunities into delivery.
Monitor performance, lead reviews, and support continuous improvement in delivery practices.
Skills, Attributes and Knowledge
Experience leading complex multi stakeholder partnerships and delivery functions.
Strong understanding of governance, risk, compliance, and operational planning frameworks.
Well developed consultation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
High level coordination and project management capability across diverse teams.
Experience using CRM systems to support partnership management and reporting.
Knowledge of university, industry, and government engagement environments.
Experience
Experience in strategic delivery or partnership coordination in complex environments.
Experience leading teams and working across academic and professional functions.
Experience managing high value partnerships including planning, risk, and review.
Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups and organisational structures.
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification with relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Remuneration/Salary
What We Offer
Base Salary Range: SSG1 plus 17% superannuation (pension)
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
