You will deliver advanced community-based nursing care to children and their families, supporting positive health, wellbeing and developmental outcomes. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical care, health education and family support, while also mentoring and guiding other team members to promote best practice.

About us:
The Community Child, Youth and Family Health Services (CCYFHS) team provides culturally appropriate universal and targeted services to families across the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS). These services are delivered in partnership by a multidisciplinary team consisting of nurses, social workers, psychologists, speech pathologists, indigenous health workers and administration officers. Programs include maternal and infant health, child health, youth health and parental support

About your role:
In this position you will…..
- Provide effective and efficient clinical care in the area of Child and Family Health by applying advanced knowledge and skills in the areas of early intervention and prevention within a variety of settings including centre based and home visiting to ensure the maintenance of safe standards in patient care.
- To establish and maintain effective partnership with both government and non-government agencies to achieve optimum individual and community health outcomes.
- Undertake quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities to ensure the provision of quality, cost-effective care.
