Local City Mission Catalyst
Reporting to the Area Officer, this is a maximum term contract for 2 years with full‑time hours, located in Victor Harbour, SA.
Salary is in accordance with Hay Level 14.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Gather and interpret community needs and insights to inform aligned, locally relevant mission responses.
- Connect and coordinate stakeholders, fostering collaboration and shared initiatives while avoiding duplication.
- Support strategic planning, tools, and frameworks that enable effective, sustainable community programs.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships across churches, community organisations, government and business networks.
- Mobilise and support volunteers by enabling explicit, coordinated and safe engagement across initiatives.
- Uphold governance, risk, and compliance standards while modelling inclusive, values‑led community engagement.
What You Will Bring
- Certificate IV in Community Services or equivalent relevant experience (desirable).
- Experience working across a variety of Christian contexts (e.g. churches, ministries, faith‑based organisations or businesses), with demonstrated involvement at both leadership and participatory levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with people from different denominations, cultures, and age groups.
- Understanding of, and alignment with, a Christian ethos, along with the capacity to engage inclusively with people holding a wide range of beliefs and perspectives.
- Experience coordinating, supporting, or working alongside volunteers in a community‑focused setting.
- Proven experience working within culturally diverse environments, demonstrating cultural awareness, sensitivity, and adaptability.
- Established local networks and community connections, or the ability to build these effectively (desirable).
- A National Criminal History check is required.
- A current and valid Working with Children Check or equivalent.
- A current and valid Driver’s Licence.
