Partner - Litigation Lawyer | Gold Coast or Brisbane

Salary Package: salary depends on PAE, Experience Level, and if you have a referral base to bring with you. Around $180,000 to $230,000+ DOE.

About Our Client:

Our client is a well-established national law firm with around 90+ people across Australia and an offshore support office, and a genuinely specialist litigation and property practice out of Queensland.

Their Gold Coast and Brisbane offices bring together an experienced group of 14+ fee earners, including three partners and two special counsel, working across construction disputes, equity matters, defamation, breach of contract, property damage and body corporate and strata litigation. The firm has built a strong reputation and referral network within the strata and body corporate industry, sponsoring major industry events, running regular seminars, and managing an active caseload across Gold Coast buildings, alongside a high volume of cost disclosure work.

The Role:

This is a genuine opportunity for an Experienced Litigator to step into a Partner or Senior Counsel level position with a high degree of autonomy. The Senior Counsel pathway offers a manageable 6 billable hours per day with no formal management responsibilities, though mentoring junior lawyers is welcomed - suited to a litigator who wants to focus on the work itself.

Alternatively, the Partner pathway is geared towards someone ready to grow the practice and develop client relationships, with strong supervision and leadership skills required - candidates with an existing practice are welcome to apply, provided they are the right fit.

Either way, you will be working across construction disputes, equity matters, defamation, breach of contract,



property damage claims and a high volume of body corporate and strata litigation. There is no work in personal injury, family, tax or employment law.

What We Are Looking For:

- Substantial litigation experience at Senior Counsel or Partner level, gained in a reputable private practice environment
- Experience across construction, property or body corporate and strata disputes highly regarded, though not essential for the right litigator willing to learn (10+ years PAE in private practice)
- For the Partner pathway: a proven ability to grow a practice and develop client relationships, with strong leadership and supervision skills
- For the Senior Counsel pathway: a strong personal billing record and the ability to manage files independently
- Queensland admission (or eligibility for)
