Important Note About Airport Working Hours

As this role is based at Sydney International Airport:

- Airport trading hours begin earlier than standard retail operations.

- Shifts may finish later depending on international flight schedules.

- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays, and peak travel periods is essential.

- All team members must obtain and maintain a valid Airport Security Identification Card (ASIC) and comply with all airport security and operational requirements.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Team Development

- Support the Store Manager in leading, motivating,



and developing a high-performing team.

- Lead the store in the Store Manager's absence, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

- Coach team members to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.

- Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members.

- Foster a positive, engaged, and accountable team culture aligned with Valiram's STRIDE values.

Customer Experience

- Deliver exceptional customer experiences that reflect Läderach's premium brand standards.

- Inspire the team through product knowledge, chocolate craftsmanship, and personalised service.

- Build strong customer relationships with both local and international travellers.

Sales & Commercial Performance

- Drive individual and team sales performance.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support the Store Manager in achieving business objectives.

- Encourage upselling, cross-selling, and customer engagement opportunities.

- Analyse daily sales performance and identify opportunities to improve results.

Operations & Store Standards

- Ensure the store consistently meets visual merchandising, cleanliness, and operational standards.

- Support roster execution, daily opening and closing procedures, and cash management.

- Maintain compliance with company policies, airport regulations, and security requirements.

Inventory & Back of House

- Oversee stock replenishment, inventory accuracy, and stockroom organisation.





- Support stocktakes and inventory control processes.

- Ensure efficient back-of-house operations while minimising stock loss.

What We're Looking For

- Previous leadership experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Supervisor, or Team Leader within retail.

- Experience in premium, luxury, hospitality, food, or customer-focused environments is highly regarded.

- A proven ability to coach and develop teams while driving sales results.

- Solid organisational and communication skills.

- Confidence managing store operations and leading by example.

- A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

- Flexibility to work across Sydney International Airport operating hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

- Eligibility to obtain and maintain all required airport security clearances.
