The Role The role of the Boat Mechanic is to inspect, repair and monitor marine engines, electronics and internal boat systems. You will have a strong understanding of servicing outboard and sterndrive engines, boat accessory fitting, marine electronics, as well as problem diagnostics and offering solutions.

Requirements and Skills

- Knowledge and experience in the Marine Industry as a Mechanic or Boat Fitter
- Experience in servicing and/or fitting engines
- Understanding of vessel accessory fitting and auto / marine -electrical
- Excellent time management skills and punctual
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship




- Strong ability to diagnose problems and offer solutions
- Well organised and able to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to work unsupervised while also being able to effectively take direction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace
- Up to date knowledge with Mercury and Kawasaki Master Tech Training (Training Supplied)

Key Responsibilities and Duties

- Service marine engines and boat systems
- Fit-out outboard engines, marine electronics, and boat accessories
- Problem solving and water testing vessels
- Work alongside other team members and other departments
- Continuously improve through feedback
- General workshop duties
