Join our Customer and Business Services team as the first point of contact for our community, providing professional customer service and administrative support across Council. This varied role combines face-to-face and telephone enquiries, payment processing, records management and general administration to help deliver positive outcomes for our customers.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Team Leader Customer and Business Services, you will be the first point of contact for members of the public, providing professional and responsive customer service through face-to-face, telephone and written enquiries. You will assist customers with a range of Council services, process payments, maintain accurate records, and provide administrative support to Council departments. Your work will contribute to efficient service delivery and a positive experience for our community.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Office or Business Administration, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge, skills and experience gained through relevant work experience. You will have demonstrated experience delivering high quality customer service, handling financial transactions accurately,



maintaining records, and using document management systems.

Experience working in local government or a public sector environment is desirable. You will be confident using Microsoft Office, with strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and organised documentation.

To succeed in the role, you will have excellent communication skills, a professional and approachable manner, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy customer-focused environment. You will be organised, reliable and committed to providing accurate information and support to customers and Council staff. An understanding of information and records management requirements in a public service environment, including the State Records Act 998 (NSW), will be highly regarded.
