An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Crime Analyst to join a growing Financial Crime team, supporting the day-to-day operation of the organisation's Financial Crime framework. Focusing on transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and politically exposed person (PEP) reviews, you will investigate potential financial crime risks, gather supporting information and ensure alerts are appropriately assessed and resolved.
Working closely with the Financial Crime Manager, you will conduct investigations across multiple systems, liaise directly with Relationship Managers, and determine whether alerts can be closed or require escalation. Your initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work autonomously will be highly valued.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and investigating Transaction Monitoring alerts.
- Assessing sanctions and Politically Exposed Person (PEP) alerts.
- Conducting financial crime investigations across multiple banking systems.
- Engaging with Relationship Managers to obtain supporting information and clarify client activity where required.
- Determining whether alerts can be appropriately closed or require escalation.
- Maintaining accurate investigation records and supporting documentation.
- Supporting the ongoing delivery of day-to-day Financial Crime operations.
