Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.
The Team & Role The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Consultant is part of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team and provides professional health, safety and wellbeing advice, guidance and support to leaders, employees and Health and Safety Representatives across Peninsula Care Group. Reporting to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team Lead, the role supports the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety and wellbeing management systems, programs and initiatives. Working in partnership with operational areas, the position supports the identification and management of workplace risks, incident investigations, consultation processes and compliance with legislative obligations, while promoting a positive safety culture.
The role also contributes to organisational health,
safety and wellbeing objectives through the provision of contemporary advice, education, monitoring and improvement activities across a diverse and complex healthcare environment.

Skills & Experience Required
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Workplace Health and Safety, Risk Management or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience
- Sound knowledge of Victorian Occupational Health and Safety legislation, regulations and contemporary
WHS practices.
- Demonstrated experience in a health, safety and wellbeing advisory role within a medium to large organisation.
- Experience supporting workplace incident investigations, risk assessments and corrective action management.
