The Role

We are seeking to appoint a Legal Assistant for our team based in our Melbourne office. The office has a team of experienced lawyers and administration staff with a great culture.

Experience in plaintiff personal injuries law and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is preferred.

The firm supports and encourages adaptable/hybrid work arrangements and the nature of this can be discussed with shortlisted applicants.

Key Duties

As a Legal Assistant the successful applicant will undertake a variety of tasks which include:

- operate independently, self-manage and prioritise tasks effectively,

- have excellent computer skills and have strong verbal and written communication skills,

- prepare and draft a variety of legal/court documents – for example briefs to counsel, correspondence to clients etc,

- dealing with inquiries from clients, other solicitors,



barristers and other professionals associated with the conduct of our matters.

- manage and assist lawyers with diary management, appointments, file/practice planning and strategy.

Full training on our Practice Management system will be provided to the successful candidate.
