A&A; Autoworks Pty Ltd is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Motor Mechanic to join our team.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 per annum (plus superannuation)

Business Location: Bentleigh East VIC 3165

Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)

Duties and Responsibilities

- Diagnosing and detecting faults in engines, mechanical components, and vehicle systems using computerised diagnostic equipment and other electronic tools.
- Testing, adjusting, and tuning repaired mechanical components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Carrying out vehicle repairs and maintenance as per repair orders, including replacing worn or defective parts and reassembling mechanical components.
- Providing qualified and courteous service when dealing with customers and suppliers.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, engine tune-ups, and general servicing to ensure smooth vehicle operation and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Reassembling engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components after repairs.




- Inspecting vehicles and identifying repairs required to ensure roadworthiness compliance.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other mechanical components.
- Maintaining accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.

Skills and Qualifications

- AQF Certificate III & IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and Diploma of Automotive Technology (or equivalent or higher trade qualifications)
- Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic within the automotive industry.
- Ability to work full-time (38 hours per week).
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated passion for the automotive industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability to work additional hours on a rotating roster as required by business needs.
