About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Trainer & Assessor to deliver nationally recognised electrical qualifications and industry training. The successful applicant will provide engaging classroom, practical workshop and workplace-based training, assess learner competency, and ensure all training and assessment activities meet the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and relevant regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess nationally recognised electrical qualifications and units of competency.
- Facilitate classroom, workshop and practical training sessions using learner-centred teaching methods.
- Develop and maintain training and assessment resources in line with the UEE Electrotechnology Training Package.
- Conduct competency-based assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback to learners.
- Support apprentices, trainees and other students to achieve successful learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate student records, assessment documentation and attendance records.
- Ensure compliance with RTO Standards, training package requirements and workplace health and safety legislation.
- Participate in assessment validation,
moderation and continuous improvement activities.
- Liaise with employers, apprentices, industry representatives and regulatory authorities where required.
Essential Selection Criteria
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent, or a qualification meeting current VET trainer requirements).
- Relevant electrical qualification (Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or higher).
- Current unrestricted Electrical Worker’s Licence relevant to the state or territory of employment.
- Demonstrated recent industry experience as a licensed electrician.
- Sound knowledge of current electrical standards, legislation and secure work practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Desirable
- Experience delivering apprenticeship training.
- Experience teaching UEE Electrotechnology qualifications.
