TRS Resourcing is recruiting experienced Trade Qualified Prime Mover and Trailer Mechanics to join a well-established workshop in Melbourne's western suburbs.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with a company operating a modern fleet of Prime Movers and Heavy Vehicle Trailers. You'll be working in a professional workshop with consistent hours, overtime available and the opportunity to move into a permanent position.

The Role Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

- Servicing Prime Movers and Heavy Vehicle Trailers in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
- Rebuilding trailer suspension, brake systems and axles.
- Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Carrying out comprehensive trailer inspections.
- Responding to mechanical breakdowns and completing repairs.
- Maintaining accurate service records using the workshop management system.
- Working safely while maintaining a clean and organised workshop.

To Be Successful You Will Have




- Australian Trade Qualification as a Heavy Vehicle, Diesel or Trailer Mechanic.
- Previous experience working on Prime Movers and Heavy Vehicle Trailers.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience rebuilding mechanical components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current driver's licence.
- Own trade tools.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Current Melbourne residency.
- Ability to provide two recent employment references.

Desirable

- Forklift Licence.
- Experience working on a range of heavy transport trailers.
