Position Information
Cabramatta High School is a comprehensive, coeducational high school located in Southwest Sydney. The school has a total student population of over 1550 students and includes an Intensive English Centre and Support Unit. 96% of students are from a language background other than English, with fifty-five cultural groups represented in the school. The school has a strong focus on academic excellence, collaborative practice, holistic education, wellbeing programs, innovative professional learning and community partnerships.The school and its community have a strong culture of high expectations in all learning areas. The teacher position is in the Industrial Arts Faculty.
Specific Selection Criteria
1.
Approval to teach Engineering Studies/ Industrial Technology – Engineering and a willingness to teach Industrial Technology - Timber.
2. Capacity to create a classroom environment that is engaging, inclusive and fosters a culture of high expectations.
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience building positive relationships among staff and students.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching chance.
