- Two ongoing full time positions available: one based in Reservoir and one based in South Morang.
- Support community safety by proactively engaging and providing case management for clients on supervision orders who have committed serious violence and sex offences
- Salary range $100,894 - $114,476 plus superannuation

About us Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connecting individuals to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, and individuals who have committed serious sex and or serious violent offences who receive post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.

About the role

Specialist Case Managers (SCMs) are responsible for delivering high quality case management to a caseload of the highest priority individuals sentenced for responsible sex and/or serious violent offences under correctional supervision. SCMs will be responsible for ensuring that the nature of serious client management aligns with best practice initiatives, including managing individuals using strengths-based case management approaches and dynamic risk assessment in line with Victoria's Correctional Practice Framework.

Key responsibilities include

- Interview, assess, refer and direct individuals on parole to attend various programs
- Prepare and co-ordinate high quality reports to external and internal stakeholders
- Undertake the use of electronic monitoring equipment and conduct home visits

About you The case management role will necessitate that SCMs demonstrate outstanding client engagement and management skills, including excellent motivational interaction interviewing techniques and production of relevant plans and reports. In addition, it is expected that the SCM will possess excellent writing skills demonstrated through the ability to prepare Departmental and Ministerial briefings, general external correspondence and reports to key stakeholders.



SCMs will also be responsible for the meticulous management of CCS client files.

- Knowledge of best practice case management frameworks and theoretical concepts to reduce risk is particularly advantageous.
