About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Automotive Spray Painter Paint Prepper to join our Thomastown team on a full-time basis.
In this role, you’ll deliver consistent colour matching and premium-quality finishes in a busy, well-structured production environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Spray painting vehicles to manufacturer and industry standards
- Accurate colour matching and blending
- Managing the prep-to-paint process
- Maintaining paint booth cleanliness and WHS compliance
- Meeting productivity and efficiency targets
About You To be successful, you will have:
- Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Automotive Spray Painter
- Solid knowledge of waterborne and solvent-based paint systems
- Experience in a collision repair or panel shop environment
You’ll also bring
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- A commitment to consistently high-quality finishes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
- Willingness to grow your skills, including I-CAR® or similar training
