Our Hospital Medical Officer positions provide a highly practical, hands‑on training experience for junior doctors. With exposure to a diverse and complex patient population, our health service acts as the referral and trauma centre for the entire region, covering an area from Woodend to Southern New South Wales.

We are a major regional health provider, operating 372 inpatient beds, 72 same-day beds, 11 operating theatres, a regional cancer centre, an 80‑bed integrated mental health facility, and a dedicated mother and baby unit.

As a casual HMO you may work in the following areas:

- Cardiology
- Intensive Care Unit
- Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Oncology
- Palliative Care
- GEM on Acute
- General Surgery
- Geriatric Medicine
- Orthopaedics
- Paediatrics
- Renal

There is no minimum shift requirement to remain on the casual bank, however you must ensure your annual flu vaccination is up to date each year in order to stay compliant.
