Job Description

Approximately 30 hours per week, with additional hours available during peak operational periods. About the Role: Down to Earth Pty Ltd is seeking reliable workers to undertake plantation operations on a sandalwood farm in the Ayr region.

- Sandalwood planting and maintenance
- Plantation establishment and maintenance
- Weed control
- Irrigation installation and maintenance
- Chainsaw operation
- Tractor, excavator and forklift operation
- General manual labour
- Loading and unloading materials

About the Candidate

- General plantation duties as directed
- No previous plantation experience is required for Sandalwood Labour positions, as full on-the-job training will be provided.
- Be physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work.
- Be reliable and punctual.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be willing to work in varying weather conditions.
- Have a positive attitude and robust work ethic.
- For chainsaw, tractor,



excavator and forklift operator positions, applicants must hold any licences or competencies required by law.
- Training: Full on-the-job training will be provided for suitable applicants.

Work Environment

Employment Duration: Approximately 9 months. Award: Timber Industry Award 2020 - General Timber Stream Pay and Conditions:

Pay and conditions are in accordance with the Timber Industry Award 2020 - General Timber Stream. The rate of pay will be dependent on experience, skills and classification under the Award. Current minimum hourly rates include:

- Sandalwood Labour - Level 2: From $33.05 per hour
- Tractor, Excavator & Forklift Operators - Level 3: From $33.85 per hour
- Chainsaw Operator (Non-Experienced) - Level 3: From $33.85 per hour
