About Us

Academy of Workplace Learning (AOWL) delivers vocational education at Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Graduate Diploma levels. We provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students from diverse backgrounds can develop practical skills and build meaningful careers.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer & Assessor to deliver Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability) to domestic students.

About the Role

This role involves delivering high-quality, compliant, and engaging training and assessment in the health and community services sector. You will support students in developing practical care skills and ensure they are job-ready for roles in aged care and disability support.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver face-to-face and practical training in individual support (ageing and disability)
- Support students in both classroom and workplace-based learning environments
- Follow AOWL training and assessment strategies (TAS), materials, and resources
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and competency outcomes
- Conduct and assess practical and theoretical assessments
- Maintain accurate and compliant training and assessment records
- Provide learner support and assist with re-engagement where required
- Participate in validation and continuous improvement activities
- Ensure compliance with RTO standards and regulatory requirements,



including the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA)
- Apply WHS and duty of care principles in all training delivery
- Maintain industry currency and undertake ongoing professional development

Skills & Experience

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
- Relevant qualification in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or Community Services (Certificate III or higher)
- Demonstrated industry experience in aged care and/or disability support
- Strong understanding of person-centred care practices
- Ability to deliver engaging and supportive training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with diverse learner cohorts
- Current clearances (or willingness to obtain): National Police Check, Working with Children Check (if required)
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (e.g. Moodle)

Job Types: Subcontract, Casual, Contract

Pay: $50.00 – $70.00 per hour
