General Manager - Child & Family Services (NSW) | Locum

- Full-time preferred (0.8 EFT considered)
- Contract through to January 2027 with potential extension
- $77-88 per hour + Super (locum arrangement paid weekly on the hours worked)
- Location: Dareton, NSW (remote or hybrid considered for the suitable candidate. EG once a month travel to office)

Are you an experienced Child & Family Services leader with extensive NSW Out of Home Care and Family Preservation experience?

We are seeking a senior leader to provide operational oversight, practice leadership and workforce capability building across its NSW Child & Family Services programs during a period of significant organisational and sector change.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who can step into a well-established service, provide expert guidance, strengthen leadership capability and support service quality and compliance across the Child and Family service division.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will provide leadership and oversight across the NSW Child & Family Services programs, supporting a workforce of approximately 19 staff, including two Team Leaders and 17 case workers.

The successful candidate will work closely with existing leadership to strengthen accountability, build capability and ensure programs continue to meet legislative, contractual and quality requirements.

Key program areas include, Out of Home Care (OOHC), Foster Care, Family Preservation, Aboriginal Child and Family programs (ACAC), Children in Schooling Program, Additional Child & Family Services programs

What You'll Be Doing

- Providing operational leadership across Child & Family Services programs
- Supporting compliance with stakeholders




- Strengthening accountability, governance and service quality
- Building capability across Team Leaders, Managers and Case Workers
- Coaching and mentoring emerging leaders
- Providing expert guidance on legislation, compliance and practice standards
- Supporting the organisation through sector reform and service transitions

About You

- Degree qualified in Social Work, Community Services or a related discipline
- Extensive experience within the NSW Child & Family Services sector
- Strong experience across Out of Home Care and Family Preservation programs
- Demonstrated leadership experience within the industry
- Strong understanding of NSW legislation, OCG requirements and DCJ contractual obligations
