The Opportunity

Join a highly skilled multidisciplinary Intensive Care team providing comprehensive critical care services to patients across North Queensland and surrounding remote communities.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

- Delivering specialist Intensive Care services across a broad spectrum of medical, surgical and trauma patients
- Managing complex tertiary referrals and critically ill patients
- Participating in multidisciplinary ward rounds and clinical governance activities
- Supervising and mentoring ICU registrars, junior medical staff and medical students
- Contributing to education, simulation training and quality improvement initiatives
- Supporting research, innovation and service development within the Intensive Care Unit
- Participating in the consultant on-call roster

Requirements Applicants Should Meet One Of The Following Criteria

- Specialist Registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA and at least 12 months' recent Intensive Care experience
- Currently enrolled in the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) Training Program
- International Medical Graduates eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (UK, Ireland, Canada, USA or New Zealand)
- International Medical Graduates with a confirmed CICM Specialist Pathway interview date
- International Medical Graduates assessed by CICM as Substantially Comparable
