Richards Tyrepower is one of Perth's leading independent tyre and mechanical workshops, with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer service.

As our mechanical department continues to grow, we're seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to lead our Osborne Park mechanical workshop.

This is a genuine mechanical role with a strong focus on servicing, brakes, steering, suspension, tyres and wheel alignments.

You’ll Be Doing

- Minor, major and logbook servicing
- Vehicle inspections and fault diagnosis
- Brake, steering and suspension repairs
- Diagnosing and replacing mechanical components
- Assisting with tyre fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignments as required when not undertaking mechanical work
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

- Has proven experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic in Australia
- Has solid experience servicing and repairing a wide range of light vehicles, particularly with experience working on European and South-East Asian vehicle brands
- Is confident following manufacturer servicing schedules, repair procedures and specifications
- Has strong servicing, brake, steering and suspension skills
- Can accurately diagnose mechanical faults and recommend the correct repair
- Works safely,



efficiently and independently
- Is competent using hoists, workshop equipment and manufacturer workshop information
- Takes pride in producing quality workmanship and excellent customer service
- Holds a current manual driver's licence

Experience gained in a dealership, independent mechanical workshop, tyre and suspension workshop or fast-service environment will be highly regarded.

Leadership Responsibilities

This position will lead the day-to-day operation of our mechanical workshops.

As the department continues to grow, you will assist with mentoring apprentice mechanics, maintaining workshop standards and supporting the ongoing development of the mechanical team.

Qualifications

- Recognised Australian Light Vehicle Cert III Mechanical qualification preferred
- MTA WA apprenticeship or qualification highly regarded
- WA Motor Vehicle Repairer's Certificate is advantageous

Please note: Applicants whose only qualification is a standalone Certificate III or Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis, without genuine hands-on servicing and mechanical repair experience, will not be considered.

Recruitment Process

Successful applicants will be invited to attend an interview, followed by a supervised practical workshop assessment.
