Fox Home Loans is seeking an experienced and highly capable Head of Home Loans to lead our home lending division from our Maroochydore office.

Senior leadership opportunities of this nature do not arise often within the mortgage broking industry. This is a rare chance to step into an established business, lead a collaborative team of lending professionals and have a genuine influence over the future direction and growth of the division.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced mortgage broking professional who is passionate about developing people, improving performance and helping a team achieve consistently strong outcomes for customers.

You will be responsible for building the capability, confidence and capacity of the team while driving growth in settlement volumes.

While you will maintain your own lender accreditations and retain the ability to write loans when required, your primary focus will be on leadership, mentoring, workshopping lending scenarios and ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality customer outcomes.

The Role

As Head of Home Loans, you will lead the day-to-day performance, development and growth of our home loans team.

You will work closely with each team member through regular one-on-one check-ins, coaching and mentoring, while workshopping loan applications to help identify suitable lending strategies and customer solutions.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will also have a meaningful voice in shaping the strategic direction,



future growth and ongoing development of the home loans team and broader business.

You will also be accountable for team performance across settlement volumes, conversion, customer experience, workflow and compliance.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, mentoring and developing our team of lending professionals.

Conducting regular one-on-one check-ins, coaching sessions and performance reviews.

Workshopping residential and commercial loan applications, complex scenarios and lending solutions with the team.

Building team capability, capacity and confidence while driving growth in settlement volumes.

Establishing and monitoring KPIs across productivity, conversion, customer service and compliance.

Maintaining oversight of the customer journey from initial enquiry through to settlement.

Ensuring applications are thoroughly researched, accurately documented and submitted within appropriate timeframes.

Maintaining compliance with Best Interests Duty and all internal risk and compliance requirements.

Overseeing customer retention, annual reviews, pre-approved customers and database engagement strategies.

Maintaining current lender accreditations and writing loans when required.

Improving systems, processes, workflows and customer service standards.

Supporting recruitment, onboarding and performance management with the broader leadership team.

Maintaining productive relationships with lenders and key industry stakeholders.

About You

This role will suit a highly experienced mortgage broking professional who enjoys developing people, solving complex residential and commercial lending scenarios and building a high-performing team.

You will combine strong lending knowledge with practical leadership experience and the ability to hold people accountable in a supportive and constructive way.

You are comfortable working within a well-developed, in-house leadership framework designed to support accountability, consistent processes, KPI performance, and the personal and professional development of each team member.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

At least eight years’ experience writing home loans, including experience in a senior or leadership capacity.

Strong residential and commercial lending knowledge, including lender policy,



loan structuring and credit assessment.

Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching and developing lending professionals.

Experience managing team performance, KPIs, workflow and settlement outcomes.

A strong understanding of Best Interests Duty, responsible lending and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication, problem-solving and relationship management skills.

The confidence to workshop complex applications and guide team members towards suitable solutions.

A Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management.

Current lender accreditations and MFAA or FBAA membership.

Accredited mentor status, or the ability to obtain it.

Location

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday, office-based position located at our Maroochydore office on the Sunshine Coast.
