NSLHD Drug & Alcohol Services (multi-site support including RNSH, Ryde Hospital, HKH, Brookvale Community Health Centre, NBH)
What You'll Be Doing
The Transitional Nurse Practitioner (TNP) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) role is to provide consultation, treatment and referral services to patients with substance use issues in accordance with the role’s Scope of Practice
The TNP / NP role is grounded in the nursing profession's values, knowledge,
theories and practice and provides innovative and adaptable health care delivery that complements other health care providers (ANMC 2006). TNP / NPs practice collaboratively as an interdependent member of the multidisciplinary health care team and provide autonomous, person-centred care.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
- Nurse Registration List A with AHPRA National Registration and holds a current authority to practice.
- Current authorisation to practice as a Transitional Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Practitioner in NSW with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Drug and Alcohol services.
- Demonstrated high level of skills in the provision of consultation, treatment and referral services to patients with substance use issues in accordance with a Transitional Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Practitioners Scope of Practice.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise and provide education to other health professionals and the broader community on Drug & Alcohol issues.
