You won't just be managing a backlog, you'll be the architect of a high-converting digital engine that drives measurably better performance. Working closely with our Growth and Technology teams to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, obsess over CRO, and deliver a seamless customer journey.
This role is based in our harbourfront Manly office, based across the road from the Ferry terminal for easy commutes. We're a hybrid workplace and ask that the team works in-person 2-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial strategy and conversion leadership:
- Drive Revenue: Take ownership of the financial performance for digital platforms, focusing on conversion rates and profit per user.
- CRO & A/B Testing: Partner with Growth teams to design and execute sophisticated testing strategies across the booking funnel.
- Journey Mapping: Collaborate with the Senior Digital Designer to map end-to-end customer journeys that balance UI with high-intent UX.
- Detailed Documentation: Write comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and create Jira tickets with clear acceptance criteria.
- Engineering Partnership: Serve as the primary Product Owner for commercial features, working daily with engineering teams through sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.
- Roadmap Management: Maintain a commercially-focused roadmap that prioritises features based on measurable revenue impact and customer value.
Market intelligence and analytics:
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of OTAs to identify best-in-class booking flows and emerging trends.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Utilise tools like Google Analytics, Amplitude, or Statsig to track the funnel, find bottlenecks, and report on key commercial KPIs.
- White-Label Optimisation: Work with partners to understand their unique customer base and provide scalable solutions that work across multiple implementations.
What we're looking for:
Technical and design expertise:
- Agile Tooling: Expert-level proficiency in Jira and Confluence is non-negotiable. Familiarity with Figma for design collaboration is highly valued.
- Technical Literacy: A strong grasp of frontend development principles, API integrations (payments/booking systems), and white-label architecture.
Commercial acumen:
- Growth Mindset: Experience with agile pricing, revenue management, and customer lifetime value (CLV) optimisation.
- Analytical Rigour: Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable product experiments.
Industry Knowledge:
- You have worked at a high volume E-Commerce or OTA in the past and have had a measurable impact on performance in your work.
- Customer-Centric: Ability to conduct usability testing and develop personas for diverse use cases (e.g., leisure vs. business travel).
Why Join?
Cove is filled with people who are great at their job, and love doing it. You'll be joining a fast moving team that's just getting started. In this role, you'll have the autonomy to move the needle on the bottom line of our acquired assets. Plus, we have a competitive compensation structure that rewards outcomes and lets you share in the upside that we're creating in more tangible way than typical start-up equity programs.
