Vehicle Electrical Accessory Fitter needed – Full-Time position
Amtek is an Australian owned and operated company, we specialise in building customised, engineered vehicle solutions for a range of government and private clients including SES, Medical services, Ambulance service, Police, Disability access, Fire and Rescue, retirement & nursing homes, special needs schools and many more.
We are currently recruiting experienced Vehicle Accessory Fitters to work in our decommission team in our Moorebank workshop.
A energetic company building the latest emergency and specialised vehicles. Work is clean in modern facility and involves significant vehicle conversions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Decommissioning of Fleet vehicles
- Removing / unfitting accessories both electrical and non-electrical such as light bars, antennas, sirens, PA systems, using hand and power tools
- Fitting of any original manufacturer parts
- Sticker removal and vehicle cleaning including vacuuming and some washing.
- Assessing and testing accessories for quality and functionality
- Meet quality standards and specifications
- Working within given timelines and meeting weekly production targets
- Use of production management software input Invetory data
What we will expect of you
The successful candidate will need to be motivated, self-driven, reliable.
You will work well within a team and have a high attention to detail and productivity
- You will require your own hand tools suitable for automotive
- You will work well against timelines and targets, ensuring high productvity in the day
- A police background check process will be required for this role - arranged via Amtek
- Qualification or relevant experience in Accessory fitting / Vehicle Body Building / Manufacturing preferred
