Position Summary - What are you applying for?

The role with is a face-to-face tutoring position, conducted in students' homes & public locations on the Gold Coast. You are a highly passionate tutor who is driven to share your experiences and help others grow and learn. Tutoring experience is preferred, but not required: we are happy to spend the time to identify people with potential and support growth over time.

You will tutor a niche set of subjects or ages, or a wide range, depending on your own preferences, experience and confidence. If you tutor high school students, you will have high levels of content knowledge in the subjects you teach, confidence adapting to a variety student levels, and a drive to both teach and mentor. If you tutor primary school students, you are confident in working with a wide range of student abilities, you are resourceful and can both source and generate resources where appropriate.

The role you are applying for starts with in-home face-to-face tutoring with families on the Gold Coast, but (if you so desire) may expand to include some or more of the following over time: group sessions with students in our upcoming "Homework Club", group sessions with students for improving "Study Skills & Learner Growth", supporting with resource development and/or coaching other tutors. These growth opportunities are opt-in for the right tutors who want to expand their experience, and are not required for this role.

About the position available

You will travel to students in nearby suburbs and provide structured, one-on-one support for their learning. This includes helping students with routines, scheduling, and goal setting, as well as weekly homework, ongoing learning, exam preparation, and assessment support. The ideal tutor is passionate about their subjects and enjoys helping others in a one-on-one setting.

Requirements before starting your first session

- Current Drivers License and private travel (Open or Provisional)
- Willing to provide or attain a Blue Card (QLD Working with Children Check)

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $38.00 – $42.00 per hour
