ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Director to lead our purpose-designed, well-established Long Day Care Centre in Prospect. This unique Centre has been thoughtfully designed with spacious levels, with the convenience of a large off-street car park, creating an exceptional environment for children, families and educators alike.

Our beautifully designed learning environments support children from infancy through to Primary school, while the Centre's innovative layout provides dedicated age-specific spaces, generous outdoor environments and team-oriented staff areas. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Director to lead a large, high-performing Centre, supported by an experienced leadership team and a committed group of Educators who are dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes for children and families.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Director, you will be performing numerous duties as part of your role, not limited to those listed below:

- Be committed to principles and standards of child safety and ensure they understand their responsibilities as a Mandatory Reporter.

- Taking the lead on the Centre's operations and maintaining viability.

- Managing compliance expectations at all levels, ensuring that practices are of high quality at all times.

- Engaging in the Quality Improvement Process, ensuring the QIP is up to date with regular entries that reflect standards.

- Completing rosters and effectively managing staffing arrangements.

- Leading our Community Engagement Program to build relationships with the local community.

- Participating in and contributing to our Communities of Practice Professional Learning Program by ensuring Educators engage with learning content and make changes to their everyday practice.





- Engaging in critical reflective practice and documenting leadership decisions.

- Working collaboratively with your Portfolio Leader and ensuring that you act on advice and make changes as required.

- Supporting the planning and implementation of the daily learning programs for children, ensuring that documentation is up to date and reflected on our digital platforms.

- Engage in daily administrative duties, ensuring that practices, policies and systems are maintained.

- Reflecting on your performance and participating in probationary processes.

TO JOIN OUR TEAM, YOU FIRST NEED TO MEET OUR ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

- Completed childcare qualifications such as a Diploma in Children's Services or an Early Childhood Degree.

- A minimum qualification of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care is required.

- Graduate Diploma qualified applicants must be registered, have at least 3 years of experience working directly with children in an Australian Early Learning Centre and have an ACECQA assessment of teaching eligibility with children across all ages.

- Completed Child Protection, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, Senior First Aid and Red Nose training.

- Have an understanding of Child Safe Standards, Curriculum Frameworks and National Quality Standards.

- Demonstrated leadership qualities to effectively support a dynamic staffing team.

- Experience in managing relationships both within and outside the Centre.

- A minimum of 3-5 years of early childhood leadership experience is required.

- Centre Director experience is essential for this position.

- Be solution-driven, positive, and able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and varying learning levels.

- Demonstrate positivity and have excellent social skills.

- Have excellent spoken and written English capability.

- Be professionally presented at all times and be willing to abide by our uniform policy.

- Be reliable and can work independently.

- Have a current Working with Children Check (not volunteer) and National Police Check.

- Be willing to attend an in-person interview and provide up-to-date reference check details relevant to the role.

- Be willing to complete a Prohibited Employment Declaration Form.

- Be forthcoming with details of childcare-relevant referees to enable accurate reference checks during the recruitment process.

- Director-level experience in early childhood centres is required.

- A minimum of 3 years of Director-level experience is required for this role
