About Alkane

Costerfield Operations, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated in Central Victoria, east of Bendigo and surrounded by numerous towns within a 50km radius, offering a variety of residential options.

Our current operation runs an underground mine and processing plant that is responsible for producing gold and antimony. The mine's workforce currently consists of over 250 permanent employees who hold various roles in professional, technical, mining, processing, and trades.

About The Role

We’re looking for fitters that value safety, integrity, responsibility, excellent performance, innovation, value creation, and agility, to join our team!

No Mining experience required! Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment

• Performing preventative maintenance

• Attending breakdowns and troubleshooting faults

• Overhauling and rebuilding machinery

• Working collaboratively within a skilled maintenance team

About You

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in heavy vehicle or machinery looking to step into mining, including backgrounds such as:

• Agricultural machinery

• Road transport (trucks)

• Civil or construction equipment

• Any heavy mobile plant

• Relevant Australian Trade Certificate

• Experience working on heavy machinery or vehicles

• Robust commitment to safety

• Reliable, team focused, and willing to learn

• Good communication skills

• Able to read and interpret schematics

• Experience with hydraulics and/or auto electrical (highly regarded)

• Ability to problem solves and work independently
