Annual Rate: LGOA Level 2/1 – $68,955 per annum

Position Type: Temporary, full time position for a period of maternity leave

Role

Located within our Infrastructure Services Department, the Administration Officer provides quality administrative services to staff and attends promptly to customer requests. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple priorities and effectively implement departmental processes and systems. This is a temporary, full-time position for a period of maternity leave.

What we are looking for

The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy dealing with both internal and external customers in person, via email or over the phone. You will possess strong organisational skills, be detail‑orientated, committed to maintaining high standards in your work environment and able to handle confidential information with sensitivity.

- Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Knowledge of records management and customer request software systems




- A current Queensland C class driver’s licence
- Experience with administrative processes within local government is desirable
- Knowledge of statutory obligations and regulations that apply to local government will be highly regarded

You will be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident or have unrestricted work rights in Australia. Mareeba Shire Council does not offer employer visa sponsorship.
