About SASH:

SASH was established at North Ryde in 2007 and is located 20 minutes north of Sydney’s CBD, in Current South Wales, Australia. Our team is privileged to provide gold standard care to over 60,000 patients each year across our ever-growing network.

Our North Ryde emergency department provides care to over 15,000 patients each year, with 5,000 of those being directly managed with the support of our critical care department.

Having recently completed a whole hospital refurbishment, we have now opened our new, purpose-built emergency department with a separate Intensive Care Unit, having a 40-patient capacity.

These areas are equipped with multi-parameter monitors, telemetry, high-flow nasal oxygen, visco-elastic coagulation testing, with multiple Puritan Bennett ventilators amongst other essential equipment.

The Position:

Our North Ryde emergency and critical care team offer 24 hour care and are looking for full time Emergency Vets who are passionate about caring for some of our most critical patients.

*We would consider either full time, part time or casual options for the right person.*Our department enjoys a stable team with low turnover. We plan our roster with care, aiming to support both individual needs and the wider team.

Public holidays and weekends are shared in a fair and considerate way, and recovery time is always protected.





You will be joining a very experienced team 4 Criticalist's, 3 Residents, 1 Intern and 10 ECC vets along with support from our highly skilled team of 35 nurses!

Our remuneration reflects the demands of ECC, including shift loading, paid overtime and paid breaks.

We also keep the hospital well stocked with food and snacks—because good fuel makes all the difference on a long shift To be considered for this position, you must have:

- A Degree in Veterinary Science registrable in NSW
- Previous experience in Emergency is highly desirable but not essential.
- A minimum of 2 years, full time experience as a veterinarian
- The ability to multi task and handle a high volume of cases
- A commitment to providing the highest level of patient care
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
