**The role**

Interchange Gippsland provides a range of different support services to meet the needs of participants and their families.

As a Community Access Worker (“CAW”) you will assist and support participants to work towards achieving their goals, and promote independence, empowerment and choice through person-centred practice. CAWs support participants to engage with the broader community and enhance their access to new experiences and opportunities. They support participants to discover their strengths and take on new interests.

As a Sale CAW, you will work in Sale and surrounding areas. Sale is in between our two closest offices in Morwell and Bairnsdale. Therefore, a Sale CAW will need to have the skills to work independently most of the time, with support offered remotely from office staff.

**The requirements**:
General:
Our CAWs are driven by our organisation’s values-based approach to provide quality services to participants and their families. CAW possesses effective communication skills, teamwork skills, critical problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills.

Mandatory Requirements:

- Minimum Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support or a similar qualification.
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Vaccinated against COVID-19.
