Why This Role.
Exceptional Package
Base salary of $90,000 per year (above Award) plus monthly KPI bonuses puts your On Target Earnings at $100,000–$110,000 per year. On top of that, a $20,000 sign-on, relocation and retention bonus is paid over 12 months to make your move as smooth as possible.
Work-Life Balance
Monday to Friday only, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm with a standard lunch break included. No weekends, no late nights, just a healthy, consistent routine in one of Australia's most beautiful cities.

About the Role.
Our client is a long-established, award-winning multi-franchise dealership based in Cairns, Far North Queensland. With a proud 30-year history of serving the community, they are now seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to lead a talented team of 11 technicians and 3 apprentices across a busy, high-performing workshop facility.
This is a hands-on leadership role where your day-to-day focus will be on workflow efficiency, quality outcomes, and building a positive team culture. You'll be the operational engine of the workshop, connecting technicians,
service advisors and customers to ensure every vehicle is fixed right, first time.
Key Responsibilities.
Manage and distribute workshop workflow to maximise efficiency and productivity
Drive the "Fix it Right the First Time" standard as a core KPI for customer satisfaction
Lead, motivate and support a team of 11 technicians and 3 apprentices
Assist in mentoring apprentices through the OEM Apprenticeship Program
Facilitate clear communication between technicians and service advisors
Track vehicle carryovers and reworks, resolving issues to maintain workshop flow
Assist the team to meet workshop budgets and performance targets
Support customers with repair explanations where needed

Total Package at a Glance
Base Salary: $90,000 per year (above Award)

OTE: $100,000 – $110,000 per year
Superannuation: paid on top at the current legislated rate

What We're Looking for to be considered for this role you will ideally bring:
A current manual driver's licence
Prior experience as a Foreman or Senior Technician within a franchised dealership (highly regarded)
Cert III or higher in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (highly regarded)
Comprehensive mechanical knowledge and sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations
Excellent communication skills across all levels, from apprentices to customers
Strong organisational and computer skills, including warranty process knowledge A commitment to quality, safety and a positive team culture
