Road Services Team Leader

- Permanent full-time
- $85,953.09 - $95,110.24 per annum, plus superannuation
- 9-day fortnight

About the Role

As the Road Services Team Leader, you will be at the forefront of our road maintenance and construction efforts. Your leadership will guide a team of dedicated professionals as you manage daily operations, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for supervising on-site activities, coaching team members, and coordinating resources to achieve outstanding results.

Other key responsibilities include:

- Monitor expenditure and work progression and identify variations to project particulars.
- Assist new staff in learning aspects of the jobs and work roles, including plant and equipment operation, construction techniques, record keeping and safety measures.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with staff appraisals and disciplinary requirements where necessary.

About You





Our ideal candidate will have robust knowledge of road construction and repair and maintenance practices. You will also possess strong leadership skills, and have the capability to make decisions under pressure, and foster a productive work environment. Additionally, you will have:

- Certificate III in Local Government (Operational Works), or equivalent experience/qualification.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic level of computer literacy with all Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook or similar).
- The ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
