Description

Full-time or part-time | Shape your caseload, hours and professional focus

Build the Speech Pathology role you have been looking for

Are you looking for a role that reflects the kind of Speech Pathologist you are, and the kind of work you genuinely enjoy?

Intrinsic Health Group is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our established multidisciplinary team in Ipswich. We would particularly love to hear from an experienced or senior clinician, although we are open to applicants across different stages of their career.

This is not a one‑size‑fits‑all position. We understand that Speech Pathologists develop different clinical interests, strengths and career goals. We want to work with you to create a role that makes the most of yours.

You may be looking for:

- A predominantly paediatric caseload
- An adult communication and swallowing or dysphagia focus
- A mixed caseload across the lifespan
- A combination of clinical areas that keeps your week varied
- A senior clinical role with opportunities to supervise and mentor others
- A primarily clinical role without formal supervision responsibilities
- A role where you receive regular supervision and professional support
- Full-time employment or a flexible part-time arrangement

You will not be expected to be everything to everyone. We will work with you to develop a caseload and weekly structure that considers your experience, professional interests and the needs of our Ipswich community.

A team with experience at every stage

Our Ipswich Speech Pathology team brings together an incredible breadth of experience, including clinicians who have spent more than 50 years in the profession and others who are beginning their first year of practice.

This creates a team environment where knowledge is shared, different perspectives are valued and there is always someone to learn from, or someone whose development you can help support.

You will also work alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and other allied health professionals within an established multidisciplinary environment. This provides opportunities to collaborate, share ideas and support clients with more coordinated services.

For experienced and senior Speech Pathologists

For the right senior clinician, this role can include opportunities to:

- Provide clinical supervision or mentoring
- Support the development of less experienced Speech Pathologists
- Contribute to clinical discussions and career development
- Help shape service delivery and future Speech Pathology initiatives
- Build or expand services aligned with your clinical interests

However, we also recognise that not every experienced clinician wants to move into people management. You can remain strongly clinically focused while still being recognised and valued for the experience you bring.

For clinicians seeking further development

You will have access to:

- Regular clinical supervision
- Support from experienced Speech Pathologists
- Peer learning and multidisciplinary collaboration
- A team that encourages questions, reflection and continued learning
- Opportunities to gradually build your confidence in new clinical areas, where appropriate

Why join Intrinsic Health Group?

At Intrinsic Health Group, we partner with people of all ages to reduce barriers to independence, communication, skill development and participation in the activities that matter to them.

You will join an organisation that values:

- Flexibility in how roles and caseloads are structured
- Meaningful clinical work aligned with your interests
- Strong professional and administrative support
- Collaboration across disciplines
- Ongoing learning and professional development
- Respect for individual working styles and career goals
- Opportunities to influence how services grow and develop

Most importantly, we want you to have a role that is sustainable, rewarding and suited to the direction you want your career to take.

About you

You will have:

- A recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Current Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status, or the ability to obtain this before commencing

- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- A collaborative and person‑centred approach
- The ability to manage clinical documentation and professional responsibilities
- A genuine interest in delivering high‑quality, individualised services

Experience within paediatrics, adult communication, dysphagia, disability, community health or multidisciplinary practice will be highly regarded. However, your role will be shaped around the areas in which you are appropriately qualified and confident to practise.

Pre‑employment requirements

The successful applicant will be required to hold or obtain the relevant checks and documentation for the role, including:

- A satisfactory National Police Check issued within the three months before commencement
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- A Working with Children Check or Queensland Blue Card, where required
- Evidence of current professional qualifications and certification
- A current driver licence, where community‑based services form part of the agreed role

Employment is subject to the satisfactory completion of all required pre‑employment checks and compliance requirements.

Create a role that works for you

Whether you are ready to step into a senior opportunity, want to share decades of clinical experience, or are looking for the right team to support your next stage of development, we would love to hear from you.

Apply today and tell us what your ideal Speech Pathology role looks like.
