Experienced Veterinary Nurse position – Full Time

Park Ridge Animal Hospital is looking for a nurse who loves to engage with clients and make a difference to their pets. We work in a busy and fast paced environment where collaborations amongst the team is essential to our daily tasks. We have a busy hospital in Park Ridge, a growing area of Logan City

The role:

This role involves nurse consults, client communication as well as medical and surgical nursing. If you love talking to clients to help them care for their pet and the buzz of surgery, then this could be your dream job.

Your day may look like this:

· Nurse consults

· Synovan injections, post-operative checks, heartworm injections, triaging, nail trims, anal glands, preventatives and general patient care.

· Surgery admissions and discharges

· Anaesthetics from routine desexings to sick compromised patients

· Experience with emergency procedures





· Nursing of medical patient including vomiting and diarrhoea cases, FLUTD to tick paralysis

· Preparing patients for procedures and caring post procedure

· Follow up calls and reception work

· Weekend work is required

This role is for a qualified certificate 4 nurse with a minimum of 2 years in clinic experience who is comfortable discussing patient care with clients, monitoring anaesthetics and has the knowledge and skill to perform nurse consults.

Salary

$70 000 – $90 000 per year
