**About the role**

Renovare Chermside is seeking a Carpenter / Lead hand to join our talented team at Renovare Chermside. At Renovare Chermside we pride ourselves on being a family run business & all of our staff have young families. A full-time role is available based in Chermside, QLD 4032 & surrounding areas, this position will involve working within a team of carpenters to fulfill a diverse range of residential renovation & extension projects. We are preferably looking for someone with all-round experience that can do small amounts of concreting, plastering, painting, tiling & more. Experience with working with difficult sites & working out finished heights is also beneficial. As we only do renovations & extensions, someone who can think about solutions to challenging problems is important to us.

**What you'll be doing**
- Coordinate and oversee a team of carpenters to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and on schedule
- Perform high-quality carpentry and joinery work, including the installation of cabinets, shelving, flooring, doors, and other woodwork
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to guide the team's work
- Manage project timelines, materials, and resources to ensure efficient project delivery
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns
- Uphold strict health and safety standards to protect the team and clients
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior carpenters

**What we're looking for**




- Minimum 5 years of experience as a qualified carpenter, with demonstrated expertise in residential renovations & extensions.
- Trade qualification in carpentry is essential for this position.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues on site.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
- Commitment to upholding high safety standards and ensuring a protected work environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Carpentry tools & equipment.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this role.
