About the role:
Due to our growth, Hunter Respiratory & Sleep Centre is seeking a skilled, personable, and experienced hard-working Medical Receptionist to become an integral part of our close-knit team at East Maitland NSW. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a highly regarded specialist medical practice, supporting clinicians and delivering exceptional service to our patients in a warm and collaborative environment.

What you will be doing:
• Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
• Managing patient inquiries both on the phone and in person and booking appointments efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and communication.
• Assisting with medical billing and processing payments.
• Providing general medical administrative support to the practice.
• All aspects of medical administration duties including front desk reception, maintain filing/patient record systems, billing, receipting, faxing, scanning and management of appointments and typing.
What we are looking for:
• Previous experience as a medical receptionist with a minimum of 12 months is essential.
· Ability to multitask, manage a heavy workload and follow standard processes.
• Effective communication and people skills with the ability to interact sensitively with patients with a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with standard office technology and medical software systems will be an advantage, particularly GENIE.
• Flexibility to occasionally start early or finish late as required by the practice schedule.
• Australian work rights are required for this position.
