We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Job Coach to join our team in Riverwood, Australia. As a Job Coach, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals to achieve their employment goals, providing guidance, and facilitating successful job placements.
- Assess clients' skills, interests, and barriers to employment to develop personalized action plans
- Provide one-on-one coaching and support to clients throughout their job search process
- Conduct job readiness workshops and training sessions on topics such as resume writing, interview skills, and workplace etiquette
- Collaborate with local employers to identify job opportunities and facilitate client placements
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes using job placement software
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and employment service providers
- Advocate for clients with potential employers and provide on-the-job support when necessary
- Stay informed about local job market trends and share relevant information with clients
- Provide follow-up support to ensure client success and job retention
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Resources, or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in job coaching, career counseling, or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse populations
- Excellent coaching and mentoring abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with job placement software
- Knowledge of job search strategies and employment resources
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment
- Understanding of local job market trends and employment opportunities in Riverwood, Australia
- Knowledge of disability employment services and support programs
- Certified Career Coach (CCC) or similar certification preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within Riverwood and surrounding areas
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Empathetic and patient approach to client support
