The Opportunity
SEE Group have a great career chance available for a Survey Technician to join our highly professional and skilled infrastructure and urban development teams. This is a diverse and fast-paced full-time role predominantly based in Yatala, QLD, working on a large multi-stage urban development with long-term stability. You’ll work closely with teams across operational delivery, project management and survey to deliver exceptional results safely.

Responsibilities

- Import data into system for drafting of final plans.
- Update and keep current set out and or models and data.
- Convert digital data, and models to GPS file.
- Accurately upload and maintain data in survey instruments and other plant and equipment.
- Update and maintain in the system “location register” of all onsite GPS equipment.
- Monitor and track that machines have current software, and load upgrades as required.
- Review and assess plans for accuracy against markings and project specifications on site.
- Monitor and track that all works are set out in strict accordance with project drawings and specifications.
- Plan and coordinate survey set out taking into consideration continuity of projects and utilisation of machinery and contractors

Essential Skills and Attributes
- Background in Survey processes.
- Tertiary qualification in Surveying or Spatial Science.
- Current Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated numeric accuracy and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual project delivery.
- Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
