Are you passionate about nature and love working outdoors? Mackay Regional Council is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Team Leader Parks Maintenance to join our team. This role is Twelve (12) month Temporary Fulltime Parental Leave Coverage contract.
About This Opportunity
This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining beautiful parks and gardens, ensuring our community spaces are vibrant and well-kept. The Team Leader Parks Maintenance is responsible for scheduled maintenance activities for grass, garden beds, trees, cemeteries, and camping grounds. Working under general direction, the Team Leader will deliver quality maintenance services in line with agreed levels of service. This position will lead a team and provide sound advice relating to parks maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and participate in the upkeep of our picturesque parks and recreational areas.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed to the highest standards, preserving the natural beauty of our community spaces.
- Lead and inspire a team of passionate maintenance workers.
- Provide expert advice and innovative solutions for parks maintenance and improvement.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Qualifications in Horticulture or related field.
- General Construction Induction Training.
- QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.
- Medium Rigid (MR) Licence.
- Essential Experience.
- Practical experience in the planning, scheduling, and delivery of minor projects.
- Proven experience in supervising a team.
- Demonstrated ability in planning and allocating resources to complete scheduled maintenance tasks.
