**Girasole Support** is seeking **male Disability Support Workers** to join our team on a **subcontracting basis**. These roles offer regular hours, strong support, and clear expectations within a values-driven organisation.

We are seeking a **calm, patient, and emotionally attuned support worker** to provide low-pressure, relationship-based support to a lovely woman who is needing a bit of additional care.

**Available Roles**

We are recruiting for
- **Greenbank**:

- Monday to Friday shifts weekly, ongoing
- Potentially occasional weekend shifts

**About the Role**

**Support Worker - ASD Experience Preferred**

We are seeking a reliable, emotionally intelligent and professional Support Worker to assist a male participant living with ASD.

The successful applicant must understand complex family dynamics, maintain clear professional boundaries, and support the participant’s independence while respecting his environment. You will be supporting him on a day out - ensuring he is cared for, interacted with and communicated with in line with his induction instructions.

**About the Role**

An understanding of ASD level 2 is highly desirable.

Supports will include assistance with:

- Social and community participation

The right support worker will:

- Understand the principles of choice and control
- Be participant-led in approach
- Respect autonomy and dignity of risk
- Have strong boundaries and professional communication skills
- Be calm, non-reactive and emotionally mature
- Understand fatigue management and invisible disability
- Be comfortable working in a shared family home workplace

**Essential Qualities**




- Experience supporting participants with ASD
- Ability to follow support plans and pacing strategies
- Strong understanding of NDIS Code of Conduct
- Reliable and punctual
- Clear communication skills

This is not a task-focused role only — it is about supporting capacity, preserving independence, and reducing carer strain while maintaining the participant’s dignity and authority over his life.

**Essential Requirements**

Applicants **must** have:

- Male support worker 20+(participant preference)
- **ABN** (subcontracting role)
- **Public Liability & Personal Accident Insurance**:

- **Reliable, insured vehicle**:

- **Current Australian driver’s licence**:

- **NDIS Worker Screening Check**:

- Ability to complete **clear and accurate shift notes**:

- Reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills
