**Position Details**
- **Job Types**: Casual, Part Time, and to progress to Full Time if suitable
- **Pay Range**: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
- **Expected Hours**: 15-24 hours per week
- **Work Location**: Lane Cove & Centennial Park, NSW (In-person) + other venues as per event requirments
- **Schedule**: ideally Monday & Friday (Can be flexible with weekdays); weekend availability is essential (typically Saturdays and/or Sundays for classes)

We are seeking a motivated and highly organised **Event & Operations Assistant** to join our team. This hybrid role blends operational coordination with hands-on events (weekdays) and kitchen support (weekends & weekdays), ideal for someone who enjoys variety and isn’t afraid to get involved on the ground.
**The Role**
As the Event & Operations Assistant, you will:
- Support daily operational and production functions and events of the business
- Assist in delivering memorable events
- Provide hands-on assistance in the kitchen during classes and events, including prep, plating, and cleaning
- If suitable and interested, contribute to weekly marketing and social media initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys **both office coordination and hands-on, practical work**. Weekend availability is essential for our public cooking classes.
A valid driver’s license is essential as there would be transportation requirements from time to time, a company vehicle can be provided for event transportation and coordination.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Operations & Administration**:
- Maintain weekly inventory of event equipment and retail stock; support reporting and restocking
- Keep office and warehouse spaces organised and event-ready
- Support post-event administration: replenishing kits and class prep boxes, managing stock, and laundry
- Prepare and dispatch event materials such as fuel, equipment, ingredients and sponsor collateral
- Assist in sourcing staff and coordinate stock for upcoming classes and events
- Support weekly communication and class briefs to the teams
- Provide updates on session logistics, stock levels, and feedback
**2. Event Support & Kitchen Duties (Weekends & Some Weekdays)**:
- Assist with event setup, guest check-in, and on-site support
- Provide back-of-house kitchen assistance, including: food prep and plating, cleaning and resetting between classes and supporting chefs during events
- Capture photos/videos for internal and marketing use
- Support post-event stock checks and venue restocking
- Previous experience in operations, events, hospitality, or marketing (recent graduates with practical experience welcome)
- Comfortable assisting with content shoots,
social media planning, and marketing tasks
- Strong organisational and time management skills; able to prioritise and multitask effectively
- Basic computer knowledge: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Drive, and social media platforms like Instagram (Stories)
- Friendly, team-oriented, and a strong communicator with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Physically capable of supporting hands-on kitchen work and event setup
- Weekend availability
- Valid Driver’s Licence
