Salary -

- Senior Psychologist - $124,771 to $135,527 pa
- Senior Specialist Psychologist - $146,281 to $154,889 pa
- Plus superannuation and annual leave loading

Are you ready to lead a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a Senior Psychologist/Senior Specialist Psychologist to join us at Bowral-Goulburn HUB Community Corrections

Your role

As a Senior Psychologist, you will provide high-level psychological services within a community corrections setting, including assessment, intervention and case management of complex cases.

Working in Bowral–Goulburn Community Corrections, you will support rehabilitation and behavioural change while building meaningful professional relationships with clients in the community.

With a strong focus on rehabilitation and consultation, you will influence case planning, risk management and treatment pathways within a multidisciplinary team.

What you’ll do

- Deliver evidence-based psychological services within Bowral–Goulburn Community Corrections, including assessment, case formulation and interventions
- Provide individual and group supervision to Psychologists, supporting high-quality practice and professional development
- Manage complex cases using advanced clinical skills to support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending
- Contribute to training and development initiatives across the Community Corrections cluster
- Maintain accurate documentation, including case notes and entries in OIMS
- Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate service delivery while maintaining professional boundaries

Additional Responsibilities – Senior Specialist Psychologist

- Manage high-risk and complex clients, ensuring risks and needs are effectively addressed
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision, promoting best practice




- Contribute to evaluation and improvement of psychological services within Community Corrections

What we’re looking for

- Proven expertise in community corrections psychology, including mental health assessment, behaviour management, and working with individuals with complex needs using a rehabilitation‑focused approach
- Advanced criminogenic risk assessment capability with strong understanding of contemporary community corrections principles
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership, including supervising and mentoring Psychologists and offering high-level consultation on risk, case management and rehabilitation strategies within a community setting
- High quality report writing and professional practice, with sound knowledge of ethical and legal obligations in community corrections
- Strong teamwork and ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary setting while managing clinical responsibilities autonomously

Essential Requirements

- Minimum four-year accredited qualification in psychology with full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
- Eligible to be an authorised supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia and willingness to supervise provisional psychologists and students.
- Demonstrated experience in assessment and treatment of mental health, cognitive impairment and individuals who sexually offend within a community corrections setting
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout NSW.

Senior Specialist Grade Applicants

Eligibility for consideration of a higher commencing salary is subject to comparative assessment and demonstration of the additional characteristics as defined in the Crown Employees Psychologist Award.
