Hamilton Island is seeking an experienced and polished Porter to join the luxury Front Office team at qualia, our award-winning 5-star resort. In this guest-facing role, you’ll create exceptional first impressions and deliver seamless arrivals and departures with the refined, intuitive service qualia is renowned for.

Your Role
As a Porter at qualia, you’ll provide warm and professional guest service while assisting with arrivals, departures, luggage handling, and transfers. You’ll play an key role in ensuring every guest experience is smooth, memorable, and delivered to the highest luxury standard.
Where you’ll make an impact
- Welcome guests and create a polished arrival and departure experience
- Handle guest luggage efficiently and securely
- Assist with guest transfers, arrivals, and departure procedures
- Maintain knowledge of daily activities, VIP arrivals, and resort events
- Ensure all transport vehicles and buggies are clean and roadworthy
- Respond to guest enquiries promptly and professionally
- Deliver attentive and personalised 5-star service at all times
What we’re looking for
You are professional, well-presented, and passionate about delivering luxury service. You enjoy interacting with guests, work well within a team, and thrive in a premium hospitality environment.
To be successful, you will need:
- Previous experience in a Porter role within a 4 or 5-star hotel or resort
- Impeccable grooming and personal presentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide attentive and seamless luxury guest service
- Current open manual QLD Driver Licence (Essential)
- Ability to obtain a Restricted Driver Authorisation (RDA)
- Strong time management and attention to detail
